Map: Whistler Village

Whistler Village is world class urban orienteering terrain, with its pedestrian core and its complex layout, with all kinds of small passages ways and hidden corners.

The Sprint race is short - winning times will be under 15 minutes - and very fast with loads of controls. Expect to have less than one minute between checkpoints on average. So quick and accurate decision making is imperative, and staying pointed in the right direction is vital. Look forward to a really fun race.

  • Where: The Cauldron at Olympic Plaza, Whistler Village

  • What time: Meet at 7:45am

  • Cost: Adult (19+) = $20, Junior (Under 19) = $10

  • What to bring: A compass (if you have one; we have rentals for $2), a Sport Ident stick (if you have one; we have rentals for $2)

  • What to wear: Dress as you would for a walk/run, and weather appropriate. We recommend road runners or other comfortable shoes.

If you are planning to participate in the other races offered this weekend, please register for all the races at the same time via this link! There are limited on the day entries. • NOTE: Participants must check in at the finish, even if they did not complete the course. Each participant report to the finish a maximum of 1 hour from their start time, even if they are not finished the course. This is a safety measure.

We recommend you register for one of the following 3 options:

  • Open Beginner - Point-to-point short course, where participants visit check-points in a specified order. Expect easy navigation and a course length of 1.5 - 2 km (takes ~30 minutes). This option is suitable for newcomers, individuals, pairs, and families.

  • Open Sport - TBA

  • Open Advanced - This is a point-to-point course, with advanced technical difficulty, moderate length, and suitable only for experienced participants.
